Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali established in 1970 is one of the premier institutes in the area of  Education. Sports play an important part in one’s life and in shaping one’s personality. Along with academics, our students display ample inclination towards sports. And the department of physical education lays emphasis on developing a healthy life-style. The college offers students various opportunities to excel in sports. The  College has an excellent infrastructure in sports. This includes gymnasium and playgrounds for all the games.

Our students have brought laurels in inter college Sports tournaments held under the aegis of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

The sports events provide students a relief from their busy routine and help them to remain fit “both physically and mentally.” Sports people are often viewed as role models and then they have a correspondingly positive impact upon individuals and the society in general.


Annual Athletic Meet and other Competitions

1. The College organizes Annual Athletic Meet in the month of February/March and other  Sports Competitions every year.

2. The College teams participate in various inter colleges tournaments organized by GNDU, Amritsar every year.

3. The College also has gymnasium which has various types of machines to help students keep their body fit.

 
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS:

The College Won Inter-College Over-all General Trophy in the competition organised by GNDU for the year 2015-16.

The college was runners-up in inter-college competitions organised by GNDU for the session 2016-17.
